Mater Preparatory Academy Launches Groundbreaking Financial Literacy Curriculum for Kindergarten through 5th Grade

Miami, FL – Mater Preparatory Academy is proud to announce the launch of its newest curriculum and school-wide implementation program: Financial Literacy for Kindergarten through 5th Grade. This innovative program is designed to equip students with essential financial knowledge and skills that will empower them to make informed decisions throughout their lives.

The Financial Literacy program introduces students to critical financial concepts such as saving, budgeting, earning, and spending. By integrating age-appropriate lessons into the curriculum, Mater Preparatory Academy ensures that financial education is accessible and engaging for all students, starting as early as Kindergarten.

A highlight of the program is the introduction of the school’s very own Mater Bank. This unique and interactive feature allows students to apply their newly learned financial skills in a hands-on and practical way. Through the Mater Bank, students will:

• Open and manage mock savings accounts.

• Earn "Mater Bucks" through academic achievements, good behavior, and community involvement.

• Learn the value of saving, setting financial goals, and making thoughtful spending decisions.
