Mater Lakes Academy wins Mock Trial Competition

Congratulations to Mater Lakes Academy for coming in 1st place, two years in a row. Also, we would like to recognize Mater Academy Bay for placing 8th on their first time competing. Mater Lakes will now go on to compete against the winning team from the MDCPS traditional schools’ competition, in March. The winner of that competition will then compete in the State Finals, representing the 11th Circuit in the State of Florida.

Miami, FL, Monday, February 28th, 2022 – On February 23rd and 24th, Miami-Dade College North Campus hosted the 2nd Annual Private and Charter School Mock Trial Competition. The Florida High School Mock Trial Competition is sponsored by the Justice Teaching Center for Civic Learning. A representative from each circuit will then compete in the final state competition. The winner of the competition will face the winner from the MDCPS competition.

• Everglades Preparatory Academy
• Mater Academy Bay
• Mater Lakes Academy
